Delete Your Account & Data

For the Walletee: Expense Tracker app by Serhii Hryn

Walletee is local-first and an account is optional. If you created an account to back up and sync your data, you can permanently delete that account and all associated data at any time using either method below.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)

The fastest way is directly inside the app:

  1. Open Walletee and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Go to the More tab.
  3. Open Profile.
  4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

This works on both iOS and Android and does not require contacting support.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, email serhii.hryn.dev@gmail.com from the address associated with your account (or describe your account so we can locate it) with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify the request and process it within 30 days.

Delete some of your data (without deleting your account)

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. At any time, while signed in, you can delete individual records directly in the app — transactions, wallets, budgets, categories, subscriptions, savings goals, and receipt/document attachments. Deleting an item removes it from your devices and from our servers as your data syncs; deleting an attachment removes the file from cloud storage. Your account stays active.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and all synced records on our servers: transactions, wallets, budgets, categories, subscriptions, savings goals, and settings.
  • Any receipt or document attachments stored in cloud file storage.
  • The data stored locally on the device you delete from.
  • Your associated analytics profile (PostHog) and customer record (RevenueCat).

Grace period & timing

Account deletion includes a short, reversible grace period (currently 30 days). During this window you can cancel the deletion by signing back in. After the grace period ends, your account and data are permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers. Email requests are processed within 30 days of verification.

What this does not affect

  • Active subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us. To stop future charges, manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • Limited records may be retained where required by law (for example, for tax or accounting purposes) or in backups for a limited period before they expire.
